Trustrum Dodge Family from Canada/Vermont?
Photo of gravestone of Trustram

This photo is of the family of Trustrum Dodge. Trustrum (In the Tristram Dodge line) was the son of John Dodge and Phebe Dodge, grandson of John Dodge and Penelope Littlefield. According to our records, he was b. Feb. 27, 1822 in Eastern Canada.

In the center, seated, is Trustrum Dodge and his wife, Adeline Harvey. Above Adeline's left shoulder is George Albert. The inserts on each side, obviously cut out and pasted on, are believed to be Viola and Ida. The following was sent be a descendent and it helps in notating the names of the others in the photo.

\Ida (left side picture added), Emaline, Marvin Trustrum "Dick", Caroline, Elmer, Viola, George Albert "Bert", Phoebe , William Jacob, Adelia (right side picture added)

The picture was apparently taken at a Christmas get-together between the time Trustrum and Adeline bought their house in Oneida Twp, Iowa in 1902 and Trustrum's death on Dec 29, 1905. Unlikely that it would have been taken four days before his death in 1905, so the date would have to be Christmas 1902, 1903, or 1904. The two daughters whose pictures were added weren't there for the picture, so one of the daughters cut their individual pictures and added them to the main picture to send to all the children.

Trustrum always wore a hat in his pictures because he was hiding an injury to his face that he received as a result of a horse kick to the head that blinded his left eye and disfigured the left side of his head.

Here is the genealogy that we have for Trustrum:
