Eleanora Louisa Cathrena Ahring Dodge
was
born in Lincoln County, Kan, on Feb.
28,
1894. She passed away Saturday, Oct.
11,
1980. The daughter of Fredrick W. and
Henrietta
Pauline Lang Ahring, she was the seventh
daughter and the youngest child in
a family
of 10, four brothers and six sisters,
all
of whom preceded her in death. Her
home was
her castle. She was married to Dan
Dodge,
longtime Lincoln barber, who preceded
her
in death. They were the parents of
eight
children, two, Dorethea and Robert
Logan,
having died in infancy. The surviving
children
are Daniel J., Emporia; Rubybelle Withrow,
Jacksonville, Fla.; Bonnie Lee Blanding,
Eureka Springs, Ark.; David Ray, Salina;
Loren Dale, Riverton, Wyo.; and Dellene
Proctor,
Dighton. Funeral services were held
at the
Hall Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, Oct.
14.
Interment was a Lincoln Cemetery.Lincoln

Loren Dale Dodge, son of Daniel and Eleanora
Louisa Ahring Dodge, was born March 5, 1934,
in Lincoln, and passed away Dec. 6, 1982,
at Riverton, Wyo., at the age of 48 years,
nine months and one day. He was a graduate
of Lincoln High School and attended Brown
Mackie College in Salina. He served in the
U.S. Marine Corps in 1956. On May 28, 1964,
he was united in marriage to Patricia Richardson
of Greeley, Colo. He was a parts manager
at the Ford Garage in Ft. Morgan, and also
at the Ford Garage in Riverton, Wyo. The
last five years he was night clerk at the
West Main Market, Riverton. He was preceded
in death by his parents. Survivors include
his wife Patricia; his mother-in-law, Mrs.
Neva Richardson, Hays; two brothers, David,
Salina; Daniel, Emporia; three sisters, Delene
Proctor, Dighton; Bonnie Lee Blanding, Greeley;
and Ruby Belle Withrow, Jacksonville, Fla.
Memorial service was held at the Olliff-Boeve
Memorial Chapel Dec. 18, 1982. Interment
was in Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

The funeral for Mrs. Lena Dodge, 93, Salina,
will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ryan Mortuary.Mrs.
Dodge died Sunday at Mid-America Nursing
Center, Lincoln, where she had lived for
the past five years. She was born Feb. 19,
1889, in Ellsworth County. Surviving are
her husband, Walter, Salina, and five grandchildren
reared by the couple: Dr. Marlin Larson,
Dallas, Tex.; Mrs. Charlynne Mercier, Presque
Isle, Maine; Harold Larson, Colorado Springs,
Colo.; Yvonne Larson and Mrs. Deanne Bowers,
Salina; 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.Burial
will be in Frankin Cemetery, Tescott.

- Walter Dodge
Walter Dodge, 99, Salina, died Sunday
at
Asbury Hospital. He was born Feb. 2,
1884,
in Ellsworth County and moved to Salina
from
Westfall in 1957. He was a farmer.
His wife,
Magdalena, died Feb. 13, 1983. Surviving
are two grandsons, Harold Larson, Colorado
Springs, Colo., and Marlin Larson,
Dallas,
Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Charlynne
Mercier,
Presque Isle, Maine; Yvonne Larson,
Salina,
and Mrs. Deanne Bowers, rural Salina;
great-grandchildren
and one great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral
will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15,
at
the Ryan Mortuary. Burial will be in
the
Franklin Cemetery.

The funeral was for Daniel J. Dodge,
72,
Emporia, was Saturday, Feb. 10, 1990
at the
Carlson Funeral Home, Emporia, the
Rev. Gordan
Bechtel officiating. Burial was in
the Hillside
Cemetery, Emporia. Mr. Dodge died Thursday,
Feb. 8, 1990, at the Newman Memorial
County
Hospital, Emporia. He was born May
15, 1917,
at Lincoln and had been a resident
of Emporia
since 1953. He was a Navy veteran of
World
War II, and had been a barber and retired
school teacher. He was a member of
the First
Presbyterian Church, Emporia, Kansas
Barbers
Association and Ball-McColm American
Legion
Post No. 5 Survivors include his wife,
Doris,
of the home; three sons, Ronald and
Donald
of Emporia and Gary of Tonganoxie;
a brother,
David, of Salina; three sisters, Ruby
Withrow
of Jacksonville, Fla., Bonnie Blanding
of
Memphis, Tenn., and Dellene Proctor
of Dighton;
and five grandchildren.

Deloris L. "Vonnie" Dodge,
64,
Mena, Ark., died Saturday, Dec. 12,
1998,
at her home.She was born July 30, 1934,
in
Menlo, the daughter of John and Viola
(Meadowcroft)
Steiger.She married David Dodge on
June 10,
1953, in Colby. She made her home in
Mena
for the past two years, moving from
Salina.
She was a tool crib attendant for Raytheon
Aircraft. She was a member of First
United
Methodist Church. Surivvors include
her husband,
David Dodge, Mena, Ark.; three daughters,
Debra Johnston, Galva, Janet Taylor,
Salina,
and Lisa Worley, St. Marys; six grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren. Funeral
services
will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec.
17,
1998, in the Ryan Mortuary, Chapel,
Salina.
Interment will be in the Gypsum Hill
Cemetery,
Salina
