Dodge to Dodge Lease

Know all men by these presents that I Enoch Dodge of Edgecomb in the County of Lincoln yeoman in consideration of the rents here after reserved and convenants made do hereby demise lease and to one half of a farm number two hundred and eight on the plan of said town to Malachi Dodge and his wife Olive Dodge both of said Edgecomb the following piece of land lying and being in said Edgecomb and bounded Northerly on land the said Malachi Deeded this day to Warren Dodge Southerly on Winthrop Dodge and being the south half of said lot and being the land the said Malachi this day deeded to the said Enoch and containing seventy one acres be the same more or less.

To have and to hold the same to the said Malachi and Olive his wife during their natural lives and the life of the longest liver of them with the buildings there on standing and all the privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging _ they the said Malachi Dodge and Olive paying and yielding therefore to the said Enoch Dodge ten barley corn yearly and every year on the first day of October if demanded.

In witness whereof the said Malachi & Enoch Dodge do hereunto set their hands & seals the twenty eight day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fourteen.
