Private Leslie Harold Dodge served in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He died on February 18th 1919, aged 21. He is buried in Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille, near Boulogne Son of Arthur and Alice Dodge of Leicester. Read about the medals given to those in Britain who fell during World War I.

Samuel Robert Dodge, master baker, served on the Clan McNaughton which went down in the Irish Sea 3rd Feb. 1915 after being torpedoed leaving no survivors or any trace of the ship. This was an armed merchant cruiser and it sank off the north coast of Ireland with the loss of all 261 on board. He was 40 yrs. old. He is memorialized at PLYMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, ref. 10 View Samuel's medals. Front and Back Samuel's son, Edward Herbert Dodge, served in the 2nd World War. Samuel was the son of John and Louisa Dodge, of Feltham, Middx.; husband of Frances Louisa Dodge, of 32, Rectory Rd., Little Thurrock, Grays, Essex. Lineage - William Dodge; Nationality: Service No: 280887; United Kingdom; Rank: Chief Stoker; Regiment/Service: Royal Navy, H.M.S. Pembroke William died June 9, 1918, age: 45 and is buried at EAST FARLEIGH (ST. MARY) New ground. 214. CHURCHYARD He was the husband of Mary Jane Dodge, of 9, Invicta Cottages, Farleigh Hill, Tovil, Maidstone. |
