Dodges Who Fought For Their Country
Afghanistan and Iraq

John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, was the father of William and Richard who came to America in 1629 and 1638, respectively. They settled in what is now, Salem, Massachusetts.
Tristram Dodge came to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1660/61. He came from England, via Newfoundland, via Taunton, Massachusetts. We believe that his ancestors were came from Northern England

Kyle Delbert Hill of Vermont Served in Southwest Asia in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom - Summer 2004..
Duty Station - 158th Fighter Wing, Vermont Air National Guard (F-16 Unit)
Enlisted - 09/27/2001.. delayed because of 09/11
AFSC (aka MOS) - 2W151 Aircraft Armament Systems Journeyman.. in other words our shop loads bombs and the 20 MM cannon, and maintains all weapons systems functions.. Kyle troubleshoots the electronics of the weapons systems and suspension equipment (bomb racks, missile launchers, pylons, etc)
Current Rank - Senior Airman (E-4).. very soon to be Staff Sergeant (E-5)
Noteworthy Award other than typical ribbons / medals - Graduated 2nd in class from Tech School (Sheppard AFB Wichita Falls, TX) with average over 97%. Awarded "Weapons Warrior" as top student at applying the job knowledge to performing the job.
Kyle joins his brother, Randy Ray Hill, as a war veteran. Randy served in the United States Air Force and was deployed to Turkey during the 1991 Gulf War.

Randy and Kyle Hill continue a long line of distinguished military service and have done their Dodge heritage proud in the process. Their Dad, Delbert Ray Hill, served in the United States Army 1964-1967 and their Grandfather, Walter Edward Holmes, served in WW II.

Stephanie Wood Grant served in the Iraq war with the 619th transportation army unit out of Auburn Maine. SHe is the grandaughter of Clarence Pinkham DOdge who severed in WWI. Information provided by her mopther who is proud of them both.
