John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, was the father of William and Richard who came to America in 1629 and 1638, respectively. They settled in what is now, Salem, Massachusetts.
Tristram Dodge came to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1660/61. He came from England, via Newfoundland, via Taunton, Massachusetts. We believe that his ancestors were came from Northern England

U. S. Marine Corps; Private First Class Dodge was a member of Company G, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in Korea on July 25, 1953. Private First Class Dodge was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

Laverne H Dodge, Born 1924, St. Clair, Michigan; Inducted From: Michigan; Rank: Master Sergeant;
U.S. Army; Master Sergeant Dodge was a member of Company C, 140th Medium Tank Battalion, 40th Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on June 13, 1952. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. For his leadership and valor, Master Sergeant Dodge was awarded the Silver Star, the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Missing in Action - Presumed Dead: Two Death Dates: Dec 31 1953 or June 13, 1952 and a note: Died while missing in action;
Killed or captured on June 13, 1952, in North Korea. His body was never found.

Richard Allen Dodge, Born January 19, 1931, Hayward, California
U.S. Marine Corps; Private First Class Dodge was a member of the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was seriously wounded while fighting the enemy in Korea and died of hose wounds on September 27, 1950. Private First Class Dodge was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
