John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, was the father of William and Richard who came to America in 1629 and 1638, respectively. They settled in what is now, Salem, Massachusetts. Tristram Dodge came to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1660/61. He came from England, via Newfoundland, via Massachusetts.

Earl B. Dodge born Sept. 10, 1923, in Arco Pass, Idaho was called to serve his country in 1941 and he joined the Army. World War II had just begun and Earl served most of his military career in Okinawa, Japan

Ezra Thompson Dodge entered the United States Army Air Force on Aug. 3, 1946. He received the Army of Occupation Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Ribbon. He served with the 1100th Base Flight Squadron and was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant on Aug. 2, 1949. Prior to his time in the Army Air Force, he served in the Army for 1 year and two months.
Ezra was the son of Burton Clarence Dodge and Nina Eldora Thompson
