DODGE, merchant, Lyndonville [Caledonia County, Vermont], was born 25 February 1861 at Thetford [Orange County, Vermont], son of George E. and Cornelia E. (BLAKE) DODGE. Educated in the public schools and at Lyndon Institute. Was employed in his father's furniture store until 1889, when his father died and he took charge of the business. In 1895 he took as a partner Claude WATSON, continuing the business under the firm name of Dodge & Watson to the present time. Republican. Congregationalist. Member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and Red Men. In 1884 Mr. [Clarence B.] DODGE married [Miss?] Elva S. PALMER of Lyndon [Caledonia County, Vermont]; they have one son, Ralph.
