Alcove Cemetery, Coeymans, Albany County
The Alcove Cemetery was created from relocated cemeteries and family grave plots that were about to be flooded to create the Alcove reservoir for Albany, New York in 1929. Hezekiah Dodge, b. abt. 1731 on Long Island, New York, had among his 6 children, a daughter, Susannah who married Mordecai Brown. Susannah is buried in this cemetery. He also had a son, Edmund. Edmund married Sarah Doty and they had 12 children. One of his sons was Samuel whose wife, Dorcas White is buried in Palmer Cemetery. Samuel and Dorcas had among their 9 children, a son, Elijah who married Salome Covey. Two of their children are also buried in Palmer Cemetery.

#1. Susannah Dodge, wife of Mordecai Brown, b. July 24, 1776, died Jan. 30, 1847
Susannah was a great grand daughter of Tristram Dodge. Her parents were Hezekiah Dodge and Elenor Hough.
