Olde Patriot's Rap Donald R. Dodge, Munhall, Pennsylvania Won Award from the Poetry Guild in 1996 |
In 1941, when I was young, my primary interest was my Red Ryder B-B gun. We won the Great War, but the ensuing peace, and the '60's movement undermined our race. These past 50 years of "affirmative" actions has devolved our Country in to warring factions. Our blessed Country, the "melting pot," because of " multiculturalism " is almost shot. "One-For-All and All-For-one" is now me--me--me, I'm the only one. Our Country's Founders, who conceived this land, are now lost to our Children by the Revisionist's hand. Our "Melting-pot" Culture, , which united the whole, has become so revised that we’ve lost our soul, Our people, our nation, are now so "diverse" No one remembers the Patriot's verse: "Give me Liberty or Give me Death," "Remember Pearl Harbor," and all the rest, are now scorned by our Teachers as racist threats. What we teach our kids in the Public Schools is "politically correct" and the stuff of fools. And when it's all Gone, when it's all Done, Our Conqueror's History will erase what we couldn't become. |
