Our World data base is for all Dodges outside of Canada and the United States. You can search it by persons first name or surname. We also have a genealogy request file. If you have something you would like put here, please contact us Genealogy Requests . There is at least one family in the United States came to America later than the brothers, William and Richard, and later than Tristram Dodge. This Dodge family came over in the late 1700s from Cornwall and they migrated west to Michigan to work in the mines there. This family's information has been added to our world data base along with genealogy information we received recently on Dodges from Kent, England. The Kent Dodges have had their DNA tested and the results prove that those Dodges descend from Dodges in Northern England...i.e. Manchester, Stockport, Offerton, Bosden, etc. Their DNA also shows a very strong connection to the DNA of descendents of Tristram Dodge in this county. There seems to be no doubt but that they belonged to the same family. Because of several mutations, we are thinking that their ancestor in common may go as far back as Peter who received the first Dodge Coat of Arms in 1306.. Those of you who have Dodge Ancestors In all countries except the U.S.A. and Canada, would really help others if you would send us your Dodge genealogy. Even if you only know of 2-3 generations of ancestors, it could help someone else, and in turn we might get something that would help you at some point in time. We receive requests from people with Dodge ancestry from all over the world. We want to build this data base so that those Dodges might better be able to find what the ancestor for whom they are searching. |
