Funeral services were held at 2pm Friday in his home for Donald Jason Dodge 57, former postmaster of Bayside, nine years, who died Tuesday, July 23, in the Central Maine Sanatorium at Fairfield. The Rev. Frederick D. Hayes of the First Church, Belfast, officiated and burial was in the family lot in East Northport Cemetery. Bearers were Harry Emmons, Richard Sheldon, George Jennings and Donald Sawyer. Mr. Dodge was born at Liberty, May 6, 1869, the son of James and Laura Davis Dodge. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eda L. Dodge; a son, Miles E. of Orono; his parents Mr. and Mrs. James L. Dodge who live in Wiscasset; three brothers, James I. of Wiscasset, Charles p. of Friendship and Stanley, Isle Au Haut; a sister Mrs. Alfred Dowling of Wiscasset; and four grandchildren. |
