Books owned by Annie K. Dodge |
August 4, 2007 Marnie Borhurst - mbarnhorst@trademarkgroup.com, writes: I have two very old childrens books (circa 1850) with inscriptions in them from people named Dodge. I don't recognize these people as members of my family, so I think maybe one of my parents or grandparents may have purchased the books. I thought perhaps the Dodge descendants of the original owners would be interested in them. They are called Little Folks Books, published in New York by Leavitt and Allen. They are 4 x 5 inches in size and each book contains 6 childrens stories. One inscription reads: Anne K. Dodge. I read and loved these. They were the property of your grandmother Annie Lurania Browne Flood. I.T. Dodge. The other book has two inscriptions: Miss A. L. Browne, A birthday present from her cousin Allie, March 22nd, 1864 and also Anne K. Dodge, from your grandmother Annie L. Flood. I.T. Dodge. Do you have any idea who these people are and whether they have living descendants who might be interested in having the books? Click on the images below to seea larger size. Contact us or Marnie at the email address above if you are interested in these books. |
