Lucy Ann Dodge, daughter of Ira Dodge. Ira was a brother of Solon's father, Charles. She never married and was the proprietor of the Groton Inn for many years from the early 1900's until the depression when travel slowed
down, and horse and carriage travel was replaced by
the rail system. She was apparently a very
interesting and "crusty" woman who ran that thriving enterprise with an
iron hand. Leonard K. Dodge worked for her at the inn when he
was growing up, and had many "Aunt Lucy" stories to tell.
