. Lincoln County Courthouse, Wiscasset, Maine, Lincoln County Deeds , Book 194, page 27 & 28 Durant to Dodge Know all Men by These Presents, that I William Durant of Boothbay, County of Lincoln, & State of Maine Yeoman, in consideration of fifteen dollars paid by Mahaly Jane Dodge wife of Solomon Dodge of Boothbay, State and County aforesaid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby give, grant, bargain sell & convey unto the said Mahaly Jane Dodge a certain piece of land situated in said Boothbay, lying on the road leading from the West Harbour to the Meeting House at the center of the town, & bounded as follows, viz: Beginning on the West side of said road at the North East corner of land of heirs of Alexander Reed late deceased, thence Westerly on said Reed's line thirteen & one quarter rods to a stake & stones, thence Northerly nine rods to a stake & stones, thence Easterly thirteen & one quarter rods to the road before named, thence Southerly by said road nine rods to the bounds first mentioned, containing one hundred & twenty square rods, together with the privileges thereunto belonging. To Have & to hold the above granted premises, with the privileges & appurtenances thereto belonging to the said Mahaly Jane her Heirs & Afsigns, to their use & behoof forever, And I the said William Durant for myself & my heirs, executors & Administrators, do covenant with the said Mahaly Jane her heirs & assigns, that I am lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted Premises, that they are free from all incumbrances, that I have good right to sell & convey the same to the said Mahaly Jane Dodge as aforesaid, & that I will & my heirs, executors & Administrators shall warrant & defend the same to the said Mahaly Jane her heirs & assigns forever, against the lawful claim & demands of all persons In Witness Whereof I the said William Durant have hereunto set my hand & seal this firstday of November in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred & fifty William Durant & a seal, Executed & delivered in presence of us Marshal Smith, William M. Smith, State of Maine, Lincoln ss. November 1st, 1850 Then personally appeared the within named William Durant & acknowledged the within instrument to be his free act & deed before me; Marshall Smith, Justice of the Peace Recd November 4, 1850 10 ½ O'Clock A.M. & entered & examined By Asa F.
