Lineage - John Dodge of Middle Chinnock through Richard Richard Dodge of Jericho, Vermont served in the Army as a Private. DOE 15 Apr 1846, Company D. 9th US Reg. Infantry (9th New England Regiment) and mustered out 2 Aug. 1848. Richard was wounded three times in three different engagements; gunshot, bayonet thrust, and sabre cut.
