This document was transposed from a copy of the hand written original, trying to keep the spelling and punctuation as true to the original as possible. One word I was concerned that I was misinterpreting turned out to be ?perches?. Once I was sure of the transposition of perches, I found an interpretation in the dictionary. In linear measurements a ?perch? is the same as a rod (16 ½ feet). In area measurements a perch can also be a square rod (30 ¼ square yards). For the record a chain is 66 feet long, and a link is 1/100th of a chain or 7.92 inches.
