John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, was the father of William and Richard who came to America in 1629 and 1638, respectively. They settled in what is now, Salem, Massachusetts. Tristram Dodge came to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1660/61. He came from England, via Newfoundland, via Massachusetts.

Hale A. Dodge, U.S. Army Air Forces pilot in China, Burma and the India theater during World War II, also the Korean and Vietnam wars. Retired after 27 years, as a colonel.
Hale was the son of Gilbert Ray Dodge and Nora Helen Thon
Hale's brother, Ward Kent Dodge served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars and lost his life in the Vietnam War.

Harold Alden Dodge was born 28 Aug 1923, died 9 May 1994. He served as a Corporal in the US Army in WWII.
He is buried in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Salem County, New Jersey
His parents were Raymond Earl and Estella J. Dodge

Lineage - John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somersetshire, England through Richard
Hugh Alson Dodge, born July 16, 1920, in La Madera, New Mexico. Of Medford, OR; He grew up in Washington.He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, working as a radioman in both the Pacific and Atlantic theaters. On May 6, 1942, in Las Vegas, he married Dorothy Mae Munster, who died in 1996. They settled in Long Beach, Calif. Hugh worked for Long Beach Oil District in Long Beach, Calif., for 30 years, retiring in 1980. He died in Medford, May 19, 2002 at age 81.
Hugh had three brothers, Timothy, Warren, and Bud, who also served in WWII and an uncle, Timothy Brown Dodge, who served in WWI and was gassed. Hugh, Timothy, Warren and Bud were the sons of Alson and Consuela Dodge.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946, and was a member of the Black Panther Ordinance Division in the European Theater in France during World War II.
