John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, was the father of William and Richard who came to America in 1629 and 1638, respectively. They settled in what is now, Salem, Massachusetts.
Tristram Dodge came to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1660/61. He came from England, via Newfoundland, via Taunton, Massachusetts. We believe that his ancestors were came from Northern England

Nathaniel Dodge, Enlisted as a soldier in New Hampshire in 1780 at the age of seventeen. Born July 3, 1763, in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire and Died May 13, 1838 in Ohio. Buried in Mound Cemetery, Marietta, Ohio Marker reads: "Nathaniel Dodge 1763-1838." GM Marietta Chap with Revolutionary marker. Nov. 30, 1906 marker stolen and replaced in 1920.
Nathaniel was the son of Nathaniel Hubbard Dodge and Sarah H. 'Sally' Dodge
Lineage - John Dodge, Middle Chinnock, England through Richard
Nathaniel Brown Dodge of Winchester, New Hampshire was in the Northern Continental Army, Feb. 21, 1776 - Dec. 7, 1776 in Cap.t Alexander's company from Northfield, Massachusetts. He served 13 days, June - July 1777 against Burgoyne's invasion. He wrote a letter to his wife, Hannah Robbins Dodge, from Crown Point, New York, on July 4, 1776 which still exists at Norwich University, Northfield, Vermont. He died August 20, 1823 at Barre, Vermont.
Nathaniel's brother, Joseph, also served in this war. Their parents were Elijah Dodge and Dorcas Brown.

Nicholas Dodge, b. April 7, 1754, and died Dec. 10, 1827. Mass. S. and S., Vol. 4: 831
Private in Capt. Tho's Kimball's Minute Men. Marched Apr. 19, 1775. Service 4 days. Muster Roll Vol. 12"115
Nicholas was the son of Richard Dodge (who also served) and Mary Thorn. He married Sarah Cole (1) and Lucy Cole (2)

Noah Dodge, Lunenburg. Private, Capt. David Wilder's Company of Minute-men, Col. John Whetcomb's regt., which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775; service, 4 days; also, Capt. Joseph Bellows's Co.; service, 9 days, under Maj. Bridge; company marched Aug. 22, 1777, on an alarm at Bennington at request of Gen. Stark and Col. Warner. Noah was born 02 Nov 1741.
Noah was the son of Noah Dodge and Margaret Crockett, husband of Sarah Wetherbee, and father of Sarah, Paul, Ruth, Mary, Hannah, Phebe and David.
Lineage - John Dodge, Middle Chinnock, England through Richard
Noah Dodge, 1750 -1794, enlisted September 3rd, 1777 and served as Corporal from 30 September, 1777, to 25 October, 1777, 26 days, in Captain Clark's Company, Colonel Dan Moore's regiment, New Hampshire Volunteers, which marched from Lyndeborough, NH, September, 1777, and joined Northern Continental Army at Saratoga.
He was the son of Elisha Dodge, Jr. and Sarah Foster. Noah and his wife, Joanna Lovett were the parents of six children, one of which, Jacob Foster Dodge 1782-1838, fought in he Vermont Militia in the war of 1812 . Source: * New Hampshire Revolutionary War Records.
