John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, was the father of William and Richard who came to America in 1629 and 1638, respectively. They settled in what is now, Salem, Massachusetts.
Tristram Dodge came to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1660/61. He came from England, via Newfoundland, via Taunton, Massachusetts. We believe that his ancestors were came from Northern England

Barnabas Dodge (1741/2-1817) served as Captain of the 26th Continental Infantry.
He was the son of Jacob Dodge and Martha Perkins.
Lineage - This Benjamin Dodge was born abt. 1744 - parents unknown but lineage proven by DNA to be Tristram. He married Tabitha Dodge.

Private, Capt. James Gray's co., Col. Thomas Marshall's regt.; enlisted July 9, 1776; service to Nov. 1, 1776, 3 mos. 22 days; also, same co. and regt.; pay roll for Nov., 1776.
He was the son of Benjamin Dodge and Lydia Dodge.
Lineage - John Dodge, Middle Chinnock, England, through William
Benjamin Balch Dodge, Private, Capt. Asa Prince's co., Col. Danforth Keyes's regt.; enlisted Aug. 15, 1777;
discharged Jan. 3, 1778; service, 4 mos. 18 days, at Rhode Island;
roll dated Danvers; also, same co. and regt.; muster roll dated Providence, Dec. 31, 1777.
He was the son of Jonathan Dodge and Deborah Balch.

Benjamin Dodge, Lyndeborough, New Hampshire; Private, in Capt. Peter Clark's Co., Col. Daniel Moore's regt.,from 30 Sep to 25 Oct 1777. Ref. NH02

Brewer Dodge, b. Dec. 4, 1749 and served in New Hampshire contiental line as a Pvt.. in Capt. Daniel Carlisle's Company
In 1792 he emigrated into Quebec Canada. He applied for a pension in 1818 for the Revolutioary Service, and recieved an annual allowance of 96 dollars, beginning June 5 1819.
Son of Reuben Dodge and Ruth Perkins. Brewer's brothers, Levi , Reuben and Zadok and also served.also served.
