John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, was the father of William and Richard who came to America in 1629 and 1638, respectively. They settled in what is now, Salem, Massachusetts.
Tristram Dodge came to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1660/61. He came from England, via Newfoundland, via Taunton, Massachusetts. We believe that his ancestors were came from Northern England

Edgar's brother, Charles, also fought, but lived to go home after the war.
Edgar and Charles were the sons of Elisha Dodge V, and Susan Smith

Edward was the son of Samuel Dodge and Hannah Davis.

Surgeon, U. S. Navy. Promoted Surgeon, December 21, 1869.
Edward was the son of Oliver Williams Dodge and Angelina Preston.

Elbridge Dodge, Willow, Wisconsin; Enlisted: 12 Aug 1862 - Union;
Rank Induction: Private; Rank Discharge: Private; 25th Regiment, Wisconsin; Infantry, Co. B
Elbridge died of disease 13 May 1863 in Columbus Kentucky.
He was the son of Joseph and Rowena Dodge.
Lineage - John Dodge, Middle Chinnock, England, through Richard
Elisha Enoch Dodge, Rollingsford, New Hampshire; Enlisted: in the 13th Regiment, New Hampshire Infantry, Co. B 18 Sep 1862 - Union; Do Commission 27 Sept 1862, Captain;
Elisha was wounded 15 June 1864 at Battery #5 Petersburg, Virginia and died of his wounds 22 June 1864 at Fortress Monroe. This is the name of a fortress that was used over many years and during the civil war.
Elisha was the son of Malachi Foster Dodge and Jane or June 'Jenny' Hutchings

Lineage - John Dodge, Middle Chinnock, England, through Richard
Everett Dodge, died in 1867 at the young age of 23 yrs. He died from wounds received in the Civil War, 4 months after going home. His brother, Alonzo, died 17 Dec 1862 in Quaratine Hospital, Mississipi River. His parents claimed a Civil War Pension under his name. Alonzo and Everett share a tombstone, and beneath their names is written:
Sleep noble warriors sleep
the tomb is now your bed
cold on its bosom you rest
in silence with the dead
"What is life?"
Alonzo M. and Everett were the sons of Elias H. Dodge and Susan, a Native American whose Indian name was 'Winkumpaugh'.
A descendant of Alonzo and Everett, Rob Moody fought in the Vietnam War.
