John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, was the father of William and Richard who came to America in 1629 and 1638, respectively. They settled in what is now, Salem, Massachusetts.
Tristram Dodge came to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1660/61. He came from England, via Newfoundland, via Taunton, Massachusetts. We believe that his ancestors were came from Northern England

Wesley Dodge, b 1839; of Barre, Vermont. Army, private promoted to Corporal. DOE 14 Sept 1861, Co. C 1st Vermont Cavalry; DOM 13 Sept 1861
Wounded and taken prisoner 23 June 1864 at Nottoway Court House, Virginia
Wesley died of wounds on 24 June 1864
Wesley's brother, Laroy also died in thie Civil war. Wesley's parents were Joseph Dodge and Lorenda Thompson

Wesley M. Dodge,born 1844/45, Andover, Vermont; Enlisted: 12 Dec 1861 - Union; Rank Induction: Private; Rank Discharge: Private; 7th Regiment, Vermont Infantry, Co. G
Wesley died 24 August 1864 in a New York Harbor prison of dysentary.
Wesley was the son of Dana Dodge and Clarissa Huntley.

William Dodge, Union Army, 2nd Ohio Infantry Co. D - Musician (fifer); Held at Andersonville and died 1 Aug 1864. Buried in National Cemetery; Capture Date - 19 Sept 1863; Capture Site - Chickamauga, GA
Lineage - This family is presently in our mystery file as we have not been able to connect their ancestry yet
William N. Dodge, New York; Enlisted: 11 Aug 1862 - Union; Rank Induction: Sergeant; Rank Discharge: Sergeant; 137th Regiment, New York Infantry, Co. F
William was wounded 2 July 1863 and died 13 July 1863 Gettysburg, PA.
His parents were Daniel Dodge and Catherine Nowlan.
