Tristram Dodge came to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1660/61. He came from England, via Newfoundland, via Taunton, Massachusetts. We believe that his ancestors were came from Northern England |

Laroy died of wounds 28 Oct 1864 from the battle of Fisher's Hill, Virginia which occurred 22 Sept 1864 Laroy's parents were Joseph Dodge and Lorenda Thompson. Lewis was wounded and taken prisoner 29 June 1862 at the battle of Savage Station, Virginia. He was parolled 25 Jul. 1862 and died of his wounds 1 Sept. 1862 His brother, Luther also Served and died in this war Lewis's parents were Nathan Dodge and Fannie Rodgers Lewis had two brothers who also died in this war.
