John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, was the father of William and Richard who came to America in 1629 and 1638, respectively. They settled in what is now, Salem, Massachusetts.
Tristram Dodge came to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1660/61. He came from England, via Newfoundland, via Taunton, Massachusetts. We believe that his ancestors were came from Northern England

Perley Franklin Dodge, New Boston, New Hampshire. Enlisted: 12 Sep 1862 - Union; Rank Induction: Sergeant; Rank Discharge: Sergeant; 16th Regiment, New Hampshire Infantry, Co. H; Perley died 13 June 1863 during the war in New Orleans, Louisiana. Son of Samuel Dodge and Monice Dodge
Lineage - John Dodge, Middle Chinnocik, Somerset, England, through 'Farmer' William on his paternal side, and through Richard on his maternal side.
Peter Dodge, born 10 Mar 1817 in Wenham, Massachusetts and died 29 Jun 1862 in Gaines' Mill, Hanover County, Virginia.
He enlisted: 09 Sep 1861 - Union; Rank Induction: Private; Rank Discharge: Private; 22nd Regiment, Massachusetts; Infantry, Co. B
Peter was married altho we do not know his wife's name. He had one daughter, Jennie F. Dodge.
Peter was the son of Elzaphan Dodge and Anna Dodge. His mother's parents were Peter Dodge and Sarah 'Sally' Dodge. Sally's parents were John Dodge and Anna Porter. His father's parents were John Dodge , Jr. and Mehitable Batchelder.
